Physical NICs - How to Check the Physical NICs Info in Linux

Check Physical NICs

[root@localhost ~]# ifconfig -a

if a single -a argument is given, it displays the status of all interfaces, even those that are down.


Check NIC Vendor

dmesg

[root@localhost ~]# dmesg |grep -Ei "net|eth"
[root@localhost ~]# dmesg |grep eth
